Week 9 Posting - USB Laptop Coolers

 USB Laptop Coolers

Laptops, like all hardware, are prone to overheating. This is common especially when users are using the laptops for activities such as gaming, streaming, and rendering in visually intensive applications. Given the size and thickness of many laptop solutions, cooling can be an issue. The smaller fans are less efficient at dissipating the heat that is trapped against the system. Even bulkier laptops with larger fans can become victim to thermal throttling. This is due to the lack of airflow across the components, leading to the laptop feeling like it is extremely hot and reducing the performance of the system (Abraham, 2022).

External coolers can support the laptops by providing additional cooling to the back of the system. This directly blows fresh cooler air against the hotter bottom surface of the device. Not only will this allow the laptop to reduce the overall temperature but supports the portability of the device as many of these solutions utilize the USB ports to power the device. Overall, this will lead to a better experience with the device and improve the lifespan of the equipment.
