Week 1 Posting - Introduction

 Hello,

    My name is Donald Christensen. I am actively pursuing a degree in Information Technology at Bellevue University. I am very interested in broadening my skillset and gaining a more focused understanding of the IT landscape. I have about four years of IT experience, and another two working with various hardware. Currently I am employed as a systems engineer and have prior experience as a technician and administrator.

    

    My introduction to IT came from gaming and building personal computers. While building systems, multiple opportunities to troubleshoot came along. I grew an interest in what made these systems work and began to research how the various pieces of hardware and software interacted. This grew from personal computers to other electronic devices.
